Dr Nick Fiddes has been an enthusiastic champion of tartans and plaids since 1995 when he founded CLAN by Scotweb ( Scotland’s first and largest online heritage retailer. In 2011 he rescued from closure Scotland’s leading specialist tartan mill, DC Dalgliesh ( producer of the widest tartan range on earth, with clients including royalty, celebrities and blue chip corporates since 1946. Together CLAN and DCD offer by far the world’s largest range of tartan fabrics and products, including a professional quality do-it-yourself design feature.
