Genealogy Courses

​

Treehouse Genealogy offers a range of weekly family history courses, designed for groups and aimed at helping attendees build their skills and confidence as researchers.

​

Courses typically run over 6 or 7 weeks and are available online or in person depending on your groups location.

 

Each session focuses on a key aspect of genealogy, from understanding core records to exploring social history, organising research, and tackling brick walls.

At present we can offer the following:-

  • Intermediate Genealogy ‘One Branch Further’

  • Local History Project Workshop 'Discover your Local History'

Whether you're a beginner or someone returning to family history after a break, our courses offer a friendly and flexible way to deepen your knowledge.

Genealogy Talks Courses & Presentations

Tutoring Sessions

We also offer one-to-one genealogy tutoring, tailored to suit your needs and experience.

​

Whether you’re just starting out or stuck on a tricky bit of research, these sessions can cover anything you’re interested in, from understanding Scottish records to organising your findings or working through stubborn brick walls.

You can join us online or in person and book either a single session or a block of lessons.

​

Special Expertise in Supportive Teaching.

Clare has completed training to better support learners with different needs, including:

​

  • Working with people who have experienced trauma

  • Creating joyful moments for those living with Alzheimer’s

  • Understanding depression, anxiety and physical health challenges

  • She is also a registered Dementia Friend through Alzheimer Scotland.
